Community Redevelopment Agency

The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Moreno Valley (RDA) focuses resources in areas within the City that need help to grow and prosper. The objective of the RDA is to manage and coordinate the activities of the City’s Redevelopment Plan and provide programs and projects that improve the physical, social and economic conditions in the Redevelopment Project Area. With RDA funds, the agency administers infrastructure improvements, housing, and economic development activities.

The RDA was established in 1984 per California redevelopment law. The RDA has been involved with such projects as the Sunnymead Boulevard beautification project, Auto Mall development and improvements, the TownGate shopping centers, the Moreno Valley Mall, street improvements in the central Sunnymead and Edgemont neighborhoods, and numerous affordable housing projects.
