Equipment Maintenance

This program has three full-time and one part-time employees, maintaining approximately 400 vehicles and pieces of equipment including gasoline, diesel, propane, and natural gas powered engines. This program also is involved in providing fuel, vehicle replacement, and emergency response operations.

Street Sweeping

The Street Sweeping Program has two full-time and one part- time employee with three street sweepers that operate on a 5-day work schedule, sweeping approximately 1,500 curb miles per month. Each accepted public street, with curb and gutter, is swept twice per month. Approximately twice per month, a contract sweeping service supplements the City service by sweeping some of the most recently accepted housing development tracts. This program assists the City in compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act.

• Changes may occur due to weather conditions or unforeseeable circumstances.
• No street sweeping on holidays.
