Moreno Valley uses Amateur Radio Operators for emergency volunteers supervised by the Office of Emergency Management.
HAM Training Class: July 18 & 19; 8 am - 6 pm

Using state of the art ham radio technology, amateur radio operators provide vital communications support during routine events and activities, as well as during emergency incidents including:
- Providing communications support to our Emergency Operations Center (EOC), emergency shelters, or other facilities as required
- May assist with collecting or reporting emergency or disaster information from EOC or other locations
- Participating in disaster exercises
- Providing communications for non-emergency events such as parades
