Each year on Veterans Day, I’m reminded of the courage, sacrifice, and strength that define our community. The flags around our Civic Center waving in the MoVal breeze don’t just decorate our City, they represent the men and women who stood for something greater than themselves.
On Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m., I invite you to join me, the City Council, and our community for the Veterans Day Ceremony at the Moreno Valley Veterans Memorial adjacent to City Hall. This year’s ceremony will feature Congressman Mark Takano as our guest speaker, whose words are sure to inspire reflection and gratitude.
Moreno Valley is proud to have deep military roots. With many veterans and military families calling the City home, and March Air Reserve Base right in our backyard, reminding us daily of the dedication and service that sustain our nation.
If you’d like to honor a loved one who served, our Veterans Memorial Paver Program and Military Appreciation Banner Program offer meaningful ways to pay tribute. Together, these programs help keep the stories of our heroes alive throughout Moreno Valley.
I hope you’ll join us this Veterans Day as we come together to reflect, remember, and show our gratitude to those who have served.
El Martes 11 de Noviembre a las 11:00 a. m., los invito a unirse a mí, al consejo municipal y a nuestra comunidad para la Ceremonia del Día de los Veteranos en el Monumento a los Veteranos de Moreno Valley, junto al Ayuntamiento. Este año, la ceremonia contará con la presencia del congresista Mark Takano como orador invitado, con sus palabras sin duda inspirarán reflexión y gratitud.
Moreno Valley se enorgullece de sus profundas raíces militares. Muchos veteranos y familias militares consideran a la ciudad su hogar, y la Base de la Reserva Aérea de March justo al lado, nos recuerda a diario la dedicación y el servicio que sostienen a nuestra nación.
Si desea honrar a un ser querido que sirvió en el servicio militar, nuestro Programa de Adoquines Conmemorativos para Veteranos y nuestro Programa de Pancartas de Reconocimiento Militar ofrecen maneras significativas de rendirle homenaje. Juntos, estos programas ayudan a mantener vivas las historias de nuestros héroes en todo Moreno Valley.
Espero que nos acompañe este Día de los Veteranos para reflexionar, recordar y mostrar nuestra gratitud a quienes han servido a la patria.###
