Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
Super Bowl Sunday is one of those days that brings together friends, family, good food, and a lot of excitement. Whether you’re cheering for your favorite team, chasing those fantasy football numbers, hosting a watch party, or heading out to catch the game, I hope it’s a fun and memorable day for everyone.
As you make your plans, I want to take a moment to talk about something that matters more than the final score: getting home safely. If alcohol is part of your celebration, please plan ahead and choose a designated driver, use a rideshare, or elect to “take a knee” and stay put for the night to watch the game from the comfort of your own home. No party is worth risking your life or someone else’s.
As usual, our Moreno Valley deputies will be out on the roads working to keep everyone safe, and the simplest way to help them is by making responsible choices. Looking out for one another is part of what makes our community strong, and that includes intercepting a friend’s car keys if they’ve had too much to drink.
Let’s make this Super Bowl Sunday a win for Moreno Valley. Enjoy the game, celebrate responsibly, and take care of each other.

El domingo del Súper Tazón es uno de esos días que reúne a amigos, familiares, buena comida y mucha emoción. Ya sea que estés animando a tu equipo favorito, siguiendo las estadísticas de tu liga de fútbol americano de fantasía, organizando una fiesta para ver el partido o saliendo a verlo fuera de casa, espero que sea un día divertido y memorable para todos.
Mientras haces tus planes, quiero tomarme un momento para hablar de algo que importa más que el resultado final: llegar a casa sano y salvo. Si el alcohol forma parte de tu celebración, por favor, planifica con anticipación y elige un conductor designado, usa un servicio de transporte compartido o decide quedarte en casa para ver el partido cómodamente. Ninguna fiesta vale la pena si pones en riesgo tu vida o la de los demás.
Como de costumbre, nuestros agentes del alguacil de Moreno Valley estarán patrullando las carreteras para garantizar la seguridad de todos, y la mejor manera de ayudarlos es tomando decisiones responsables. Cuidarnos unos a otros es parte de lo que fortalece nuestra comunidad, y eso incluye quitarle las llaves del coche a un amigo si ha bebido demasiado.
